Congratulations on our first GCLA meeting on Wednesday, January 31st. at
St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood. It was a success. Over 50 prevention,
intervention & re-entry professionals were in attendance. We discussed a common
vision and future goals for this coalition.

officials say more donations are needed

PICO RIVERA - Just months after an ambitious rehabilitation program for gang
members who want to reform opened here, the Crossroads Project is struggling to
stay afloat, officials for the group said Wednesday. Paul Carrillo, program
director, said his organization has already spent most of the $30,000 it had
received in grant money since last year. Now, officials are sorely in need of
private donations and additional grants if the program is to survive, he said.
